Our Volunteers
Max Bloom

Meet Max Bloom, one of our most dedicated volunteers. Max is a retired sales engineer who recently moved to Sheboygan to be closer to his daughter, Sandy Livermore. Max’s passion is woodworking, and we are blessed that he is sharing his amazing talent with Bookworm Gardens. Max began building garden elements for us back in 2006, when he designed and built for us a wonderful garden arbor and picket fence that will greet visitors in the Charlotte’s Web farm and garden area. It’s been stored in a barn for several years waiting to be installed….the wait isn’t long, Max! He also built our wonderful and whimsical Three Bears Chairs, the Japanese Garden Gate, the George Washington Carver Potting Bench, three large picture frames and three child sized picnic tables. Are we forgetting anything? Max is now working on a set of bookshelves for the offices in the Administration building. We know that as soon as the bookshelves are finished, he’ll be joining forces with Richard Bemis to build our whimsical Playhouse for Monster Playhouse. When he takes a break from building items for us, Max can be found volunteering for almost every event held at the Weill Center. He is truly ONE AMAZING VOLUNTEER!!! Thanks for all you do, Max!
